Over the past few years, the way I used to look at society was challenged.

What was most upsetting is the Jesus freaks. They were the worst. Where we as Christians are inspired to convey the good news of love and acceptance, people who suffered most and caused deep traumatic damage to the next generation through their behaviour and the hurtful practices and words that flow out of them like the amazon river in flood. These Jesus freaks in the name of Jesus try to hide everything and condemning everyone else to the judgement and sentence of hell. These people mostly from charismatic dominations: wealth, health and prosperity teaching, hanging on the lips of false teachers and preachers while they continue to hide everything underneath the rug, living that lie and nether dealing with the real issues. And, in an attempt to hide their insecurities and hurt, they call themselves reborn Christians and viscously tries to convert every soul they find to their point of view, causing more damage. They Cherrie pick the Bible, believing that they are led by the spirit and sometimes they are right as they are led by the evil spirit twisting the truth just a little, leading them further and further astray.

We read from Mathews 7:21 to 23 that not everyone who says Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of God the Father who is in heaven and that one day many will say to Jesus, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ When Jesus will then declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

We also read in 2 Corinthians 11: 12 to 14: “And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.”

People carry hurt with them Christian too. Life happens to all of us, Christians too. People and children are violated – Christians too are the beasts molesting a child or raping women or being a mother abusing her son. And yet this remains unacceptable! – We live in a broken era. So too, the Bible declares: as in the last times it will be difficult!

I believe that God wants us to work thru our issues and heart so that we can grow and be more useful to serve here on earth for His kingdom and his righteousness – Matthews 6:33 reads: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” And in John 10:10 Jesus himself says: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

Psychiatrical studies shows that emotional wounds that are not dealt with robs the person from the good that God intends for us, (in Jeremiah 29:11 the Lord declares: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”). It is up to us whether we stick to the rules and not.

And by twisted truth and being allowed to be led by false teaching, good Christians go to their graves never experiencing the plans God had for them on earth – Oh, yes some will continue lying and proclaiming that “life is good” while deep down the hurt they wiping the hurt that breeds in their most inner part under the rug allowing the hurt to continue and to hurt and rob them even more… while still behind that fake smile:

  1. feeling they’re not enough;

  2. feeling vulnerable and afraid;

  3. struggling with nightmares and flashbacks (and believe you me, their so-called reborn leaders will blame the nightmares on evil spirits that, that person is infected by);

  4. struggling to see the good and beauty in themselves;

  5. feeling numb when normally they wouldn’t;

  6. struggling to put their guard down;

  7. feeling disconnected from their true self;

  8. and struggling with their relationships.

To these people, I say don’t allow anybody to rob you from dealing with the hurt caused by being abused. Find a Pastoral Counsellor near you and let him or her assist you and guide you through a process that will free you from that awful terrific hurt robbing you from that life and life in abundance that Jesus our King, Priest, Prophet and Lord wants for you.

There are many different forms of abuse …sadly it never ends…in SA it should be 365 days of activism…Never give… Posted by Diep River Community Police Forum on Monday, 9 December 2019
